5 EU Horizon funded Projects working in synergy for a sustainable transformation of the EU Food System

Supporting Food Systems

Fifty-two cities across Europe are involved in five EU Horizon-funded projects investing €48 million by 2024 to innovate local food systems. FoodSHIFT 2030, FOODE, Food Trails, Cities 2030 and FUSILLI constitute the “EU FOOD 2030 Project Family.”
Our collaboration consists in coordinating synergistic cross-project initiatives toward a sustainable transformation of the European food system aligned with the European Commission’s FOOD 2030 and Farm to Fork Strategy.

Connecting Innovative Food System Solutions

The Food 2030 Project Family is first and foremost a cities’ network. Each city addresses the food system transformation through Living Labs: open innovation ecosystem of stakeholders that engage different food system actors; a permanent space to share ideas and
co-create meaningful solutions.
