Participation by the private sector is instrumental in sustaining and scaling food policy actions. Yet typically the process of forging such partnerships is beyond the comfort zone of urban policy makers.

This deliverable List of SMEs and startups involved with the call for ideas (D. 4.10) presents a detailed exploration of the design, implementation and roll-out of the Call for Solutions and the extensive engagement of the 11 European cities involved in the Food Trails project.

The focus is on facilitating a strong connection between Food Trails cities and the most pioneering European start-ups and SMEs, with the aim of strengthening the cities’ pilots and cultivating more robust and sustainable food systems. It also provides an inventory of start-ups and small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs) connected to 11 European cities through a pan-European Call for Solutions initiative.
