The Annual Partner Meeting of the second year of the project will take place from 9 to 11 November 2022.
The host city will be Thessaloniki. The city is experiencing a momentum in the field of food policies: in fact, it recently established its Food Council as part of the Food Trails project. It is therefore very exciting for the Food Trails consortium to hold APM-Year 2 in this city and celebrate this milestone event towards the transformation of the city’s food system, by gathering in person on the occasion of the Annual Partner Meeting.
The Food Trails APM-Year 2 will kick off with institutional greetings from Thessaloniki’s politicians.
The mornings of 9 and 10 November will feature interactive sessions devoted to the different area of activities of the project:
-session on cities Living Labs and pilots;
-session on impact investing;
-session on EU advocacy, activities implemented and upcoming opportunities;
-session on the replication activities and exchange
-session on communication, events, Think Tank and local communication;
-session on financial issues and reporting activities.
The afternoons will host two workshops, the first on monitoring the implementation of pilots and collecting data to evaluate impact and the second on knowledge sharing.
In addition the first draft of the deliverable due by the end of 2022 will be presented.
The third day will be dedicated to field visits.
The first destination will be the Gerovasileiou winery, the most important winery in Greece and producer of “Gorgona” wine from the urban vineyard of Thessaloniki.
Afterwards, the consortium will visit the Chilli Factor organic farm. Like the winery, the farm is one of the main food stakeholders of the municipality of Thessaloniki, and it participates in the newly launched Local Food Council as a member of the Organic Producers Association and the Food Production and Distribution subgroup.
